Sourtec is a Brazilian company created due to demands coming from the recents discoveries of oil in Brazilian coast. Our Company is focused on corrosion tests under environments with CO2 and H2S and mechanical loads.
Founded in 2011 by members of the Group of Studies on Corrosion at the Physical Metallurgy Laboratory at UFRGS (Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul), Sourtec’s body of technicians is comprised of post-graduated professionals who have developed a series of research and development works on the qualification of flexible risers in corrosive environments. We have been carrying out tests with H2S and CO2 for Petrobras since 2003. Our office is located in TECNOPUC, a 66-acre Technology Park run by PUC (Pontifícia Universidade Católica), one of the largest and most prestigious universities in Brazil.
